The years since 2002
Casino Moose Jaw opened on September 6, 2002, in a 12,000-square-foot facility leased from Temple Gardens Mineral Spa. The opening was part of the city's historical tourism theme. It also helped restore the downtown core. A pedway over Fairford Street links the casino to the spa's hotel expansion.
In late June 2023, a $5 million renovation began. It was the first extensive one since 2002, covering the gaming areas and the food and beverage areas. The casino stayed open throughout the work. SaskGaming operates it, as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lotteries and Gaming Saskatchewan (LGS). Regulation sits with the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority, known as SLGA.
