The weekend

A weekend next to the mineral spa

Casino Moose Jaw is attached to Temple Gardens Mineral Spa, and a pedway over Fairford Street leads to the spa's hotel. The hotel, the casino floor and CMJ Express sit side by side, and the planner below shows what is open when.

    The spa next door

Casino Moose Jaw sits downtown, attached to Temple Gardens Mineral Spa. The casino calls the spa world famous. A pedway crosses over Fairford Street to the spa's hotel expansion. That joins the hotel and the casino above the street. The casino's address is 21 Fairford Street East.

The casino itself is a tenant. It opened on September 6, 2002, in a 12,000-square-foot facility leased from Temple Gardens. Its opening was part of the city's historical tourism theme and helped the restoration of the downtown core.

    CMJ Express, open late

CMJ Express is the casual café and snack bar inside Casino Moose Jaw. The menu covers hot coffee, cheeseburgers, wings, dry ribs, soups and salads. It keeps regular casino hours, so the counter is open from 9 am to 4 am every day. The 2024 result of the renovation gave it the feel of the Chicago Connection Tunnels of Moose Jaw, with hints of the 1920s. That work was part of a $5 million renovation that also opened up the gaming floor.

    Saturday and Sunday

Casino Moose Jaw opens at 9 am and closes at 4 am, Sunday to Saturday. A late night works on Saturday, and Sunday keeps the same hours. All of Saskatchewan stays on Central Standard Time all year, so clocks never shift on a spring or fall weekend. Holiday hours are not published, so call 1-306-694-3888 before a long weekend.

Moose Jaw Transit is the catch. Its 4 fixed routes run Monday to Saturday, 7:15 am to 6:30 pm, every 40 minutes. There is no service on Sundays or statutory holidays. All routes meet downtown near City Hall and the Mae Wilson Theatre. Passes and tickets are sold at City Hall, 228 Main Street North, or in the HotSpot app.

    The Moose Jaw Getaway

The casinos' tourism page lists a Moose Jaw Getaway package for Players Club members. It pairs one night at the Temple Gardens Hotel & Spa with two passes to the Tunnels of Moose Jaw. Booking is by phone at 1-800-718-7727. The current terms sit on that page, so read them there before you call. Players Club membership costs nothing and starts at Guest Services in Casino Moose Jaw, with photo ID.
